I spend $$$$

I think im insane. I think I`ve lost my mind. Even Woofy got a shock.

I went to the saloon and get my hair done. As usual for me, what i have as my initial plan will not be the one to be done.

I just wanted to a straightening/rebonding but i ended up doing treatment and glossing for my hair. Ouch...

The process started at 2.11 pm and i`ve sat in the saloon for more than 6 hours and i`m the 1 who last to get out of the shop!!

And in those 6hours++, i`ve spend RM600. Thats RM100 for 1 hour and RM1.67 per minute and RM 0.03 per second. Haha

Amazing...!! o.O

Time to save now....=(

In Loving Memory of Grandpa

My grandpa passed away on Thursday 13th of December. He left us at 8:10am peacefully. Its both bad news and good news for us. Bad cuz he`s no longer with us and good, cuz he no longer need to suffer anymore. Those 3days in hospital is bad enough for him. See him suffering from the sickness is hurtful enough for us to see and feel. Its so heartache seeing him in those condition.

Dear Ah Kung,

Although you`re not here with us anymore but in my heart and in our heart, you`re always here. Your loudness, your facial expression , everything.

I`ll miss the time where mum and i come fetch you to town everyday. I`ll miss the time where we spent our time with you and the time where you join us for UNO game.

But, think of it, its good that you left us for you no longer need to suffer anymore. Those 3 days is enough for you. Ahkung, you`re free from any sickness now. You no longer need to suffer from the sickness.

Don`t worry bout us, AhKung. We`ll take care of ourselves and will come to visit you when ever we can. You`re will never be forget by us. You`re always in our heart and the memories that you gave us,will always be in our heart.

There`s alot of things i wanted to tell you but its impossible for me to type out. I know you want us to be happy and we promise you, we won`t be sad for a long time.

I Love you, AhKung. I miss you forever.

Loans

Nowadays, taking a loan, whether personal or secured loans, is getting more and more convenient. Many banks worldwide are offering loans with various types of packages to the public. Although taking a loan is easy, but one must consider whether which package benefits them most.

Personal loans are getting so much popular in recent years for many reasons, and one of the main purposes is for home improvement. After purchasing a house, people still needs a sum of money to renovate, furnish and decorate their own living place. When taking loans for such purposes, one must consider properly the amount of money that they need. The loan amount must not exceed much from the budget, as this might lead to extra spendings when someone has excessive amount of money in hand. For instance, if the budget is around 20,000 Dollars, the amount of loan taken must not exceed 22,000 Dollars. By doing so, one will have an extra, but controlled sum of money to spend for.

Besides that, one should also consider well the length of the loan repay, and also the percentage of interest charged for the loan. Different package has different repayment length and interest percentage, thus wise decisions must be made when choosing a loan package. The repayment length cannot be too long as this will cause a burden to to loan taker. Choosing a longer repayment length is not that wise after all because the sum paid to the bank will be larger. Besides that, getting into a debt for a long time might cause some troubles in certain ways.

So, in short words, consider well and make wise decision when intend to take a loan. Pick the package that suits the most to your budget, and don't let the debt to be a big burden to you. Smart decisions can make you off the debts in easier ways.

Disney Live!

As mentioned before, we went to the Disney Live! Mickey`s Magic Show on the 3rd of Nov at PISA, Penang . Due to my " big head prawn" attitude, i forgot to post something bout it. =P

I asked permission from Woofy to get the tickets 1 day after the ad was out which on the 5th of Sept and i bought it on the 6th of Sept. Keke... 2 months before the show...

Our tickets

We`re not allow to take any pictures once we`re in the auditorium cuz according to the people in charged, by taking pictures, those magic will be revealed. 0.O is that possible? I dunno lo.. But we tried to take picture inside the auditorium but was caught by them and was asked to keep the camera away. So embarrassing.

We just managed to take some pictures at the outside of the auditorium which was reserved for the organizers to sell their merchandises.

Daddies and mummies rushing to buy some toys for their children.

Mickey and Minnie toys. Look at the price !!

Goofy`s electric fan and magic wand and Mickey`s glowing hat.

Disney`s princesses. If not mistaken, each for RM 20++.

One of my favourite. Not the lil`s boy. Those cups behind. Those colorful round round thingy is the ice ball. Each for RM30.

and....this is mine. I owned 3 including this. Hehe...=P

Overall, the show was a nice 1 and interesting. Nice show !!

Tea Spa @ New World Park, Penang

Seems like New World Park is me and my friend new hangout place and for us to have our lunch now. It`s cause, every week if possible, we`ll go to the New World Park to have our lunch before heading back for our class, at least for this semester.

Anyway, again, we went to this newly opened shop called Tea Spa for our lunch. At 1st thought, we thought that its a place for spa using tea but we`re wrong. Its a restaurant. =P

We saw this place that served set lunch at RM9.90 and it caught our eyes. Thus, we went in and had our lunch there. 1st view of the restaurant, not bad. With kind of traditional Chinese feel.

So, allow me to intro you all to this place.

The ambiance, decor , etc :

Oh, they even have small little fishies under the seating area.

First glance, are the woods look real or fake to you?

To me, the wood looked like a real 1 to me but its a fake 1. They drew and paint the wall with some outdoor look . Amazing.

Our meal :

Set lunch that cost RM9.90 nett include : Soup of the day (not your ordinary mushroom soup or chicken soup but Chinese soup and today`s soup is "old cucumber" soup), Sweet and spicy chicken with fragrant rice, Iced Tea (can choose coffee too)

The dessert: mini cutie strawberry jelly. Small but yummy.

They also have "Char Yip Tan" (herbal egg)

We`re satisfied with our meal and like this shop. Will definitely go there and hangout some other time. And oh, they do serve other variety of meal and drinks - those traditional chinese tea.

Finally...

Been a bad week for me since Sunday. Im not been to myself since then. Its like i`ve lost myself. Been moody, sad and maybe even depression.

From studies to some conflict in my life. There`s seems nothing is going my way. Everything seems like out of order and track. Need to pick them up piece by piece. Slowly and carefully.

Guess black days will go away like heavy rain will stop. Something does make me happy today. Mum bought me a dress that i like without much manjaness. Thank you , mum.

Hehe. Finally, something is there to make me happy and i can forget those unhappy days for a while. =)

Loy Krathong in Penang

Yesterday was the Loy Krathong Festival. Its a festival that was widely celebrated throughout Thailand. It is held on the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai Lunar Calendar, in the western calendar this usually falls into Novermber. “Loi” means “to float”. “Krathong” is a raft about a handspan in diameter traditionally made from a section of banana tree trunk , decorated with elaborately-folded banana leaves, flowers, candles, incense sticks etc. During the night of the full moon, many people will release a small raft like this on a river.

We went to the Wat Buppharam in Perak Road to celebrate the fastival and to join in the crowd. Upon arrival at around 8pm, we saw a few stalls selling those "Krathong". There are variety of shapes and sizes to choose from and style too. Apparently, the new style of "Krathong" has evolved from the traditional tree trunk based to Styrofoam based. So, it looked more plastic-ky than the traditional 1.For a small " Krathong" , it cost for RM 10 and the big 1 ranged from RM 20 to RM30.

The varieties of "Krathong" being sell. From Styrofoam to the traditional banana trunk type.

There are a few events that going on at that moment. Some of them are, the singing stage and another part of the temple, there got a few people dancing. Guess not so appropriate. Hehe.

Singing stage.

A guy-girl dancing away ala Thai.

So, we bought 3 "Krathongs" and waited for the parade to begin. I thought the parade going to begun at 9 pm as stated in the newspaper but i was wrong as the main parade only start at 10.30 which is after the chanting from the monks which was scheduled to be start at 9pm. The chanting process only begun at 9.30pm. Talking about punctuality. Cheeshhh.....
The praying altar

People mountain people sea inside the temple waiting for the chanting process.

Our "Krathong".

Some of the "Krathong" inside the temple. If you buy the "Krathong" inside the temple, each 1 cost RM15.

At ard 10.30pm, the parade finally begin. People followed the parade car to Gurney Drive to release their "Krathong" to the sea.But there are certain rules which you can follow. It`s believed by the the Thai people that before you release your "Krathong", its is advisable that you add a snip of your hair or fingernails into the "Krathong" as this is to bring part of your bodies goes out to the Goddess of Water, Phra Mae Khongkha and its to bring bad luck out of your bodies. I dunno how true is that, but we just follow the culture. =)

Lighting up the parade car`s candle. Marking its time to start the parade to Gurney.

Some of the parade cars.

We took a short cut to Gurney as we stop halfway to drive there cuz there`s too many people and we`re in a rush too. =P

T
his is my 2nd time celebrating this Loy Krathong festival but it was my 1st time celebrating in Penang. My 1st time was in Thailand itself.

Believe it or not !!

No no, i ts not that Ripley`s show. Its just something so bizarre that happened infront of you that you found it still so unbelievable.

Last Monday which was the 19th of Nov was the birthday of one of the Chinese god, "Ji Gong". Then, one of my relative`s place was holding this "party" to celebrate this god`s birthday. Later, this relative of mine was "possessed" by this Ji Gong. In Cantonese, they called it as " Thiu Thong" or something like that.

This picture was taken during the Ninth Emperor`s Festival and this guy in the middle was possessed by Na Cha.

This relative of mine got this kinda "power" that gods can get in and out from his body. Using his body to so - called help people. People can ask the god any questions that he or she wanted to know and he or she will get a solution from the god.

At times, the god will give 4 numbers for the "viewers" to buy. For example, during the process, one of the god gave 4 numbers which appear as 7274 then, the next day, magnum came up 9274 as third prize. Although not exactly the same, but the last 3 digits are exactly the same as predicted.

Then another incident was, my mum wanted to ask about my grandpa`s health, my mum just tell the god the name of my grandpa and the god knew that my grandpa is 75 this year even before my mum told the god.

There are a few incidents more but to cut the story short, do you believe those things? Its still a mystery to me but as my relative says :

" Dont believe this kinda things too much. You believe it is ok, but not too much and obsess with it "

Care to tell me you opinion?

Hotel Reservations

Recently we have a plan to go to KL for a vacation. We planned to stay at one of the hotels in city center as this will be easier for us to go to the shooping complexes to do our shopping. After some consideration, we decided to stay at Traders Hotel, KL. But there is a major letdown – The room rates are rather expensive – USD 108. This makes us hesitate whether to proceed with the hotel reservation or not because we are going to stay for 4 nights, and it will cost us USD432, which is a whopping RM1555! We decided to look for another hotel which is cheaper and suits our budget. As we searched online, we went to this website – Hotel Reservations. This website is actually a website which enable us to make Hotel Reservations online. We decided to give it a try, and look for the best offer available. Guess what? They offered a much cheaper room rate for Traders Hotel at only USD80! This means that I can save up to USD112, which is equivalent to RM403! It is indeed that through this site, we can enjoy quite alot of savings. Thumbs up!

Later on, we checked on the details in the website. We were surprised that besides making hotel reservation, the website also enables us to purchase flight tickets, make reservations for car rental, and you can even look for a vacation package in the website. Through this website, you can plan your vacation in the easiest way. Everything can be done in the same website, making it so convenient for people to plan for their desired vacation at a cheaper price. No doubt, I enjoy using this website to plan for my vacation. So, plan your vacations and make hotel reservations today, and enjoy your vacation planning!
