Family Outing which resulted to body ache....!!!!

Yesterday, we had a fun outing, but the outcome is bad - we had terrible body ache! But really worth it... This is where we go:

Actually we planned to go there a week earlier, but we postponed the plan because of certain reasons (U know I know lah, 1 day after election wor... Keke) . We left Penang at 11am, and reached there around 1 hour later.

The main door of the resort.

The whole resort is quite big, including hotels and apartments, waterpark, ecopark, the famous big lake and the orang utan island. But on that day, our main purpose is only the waterpark. Orang utan..... Next time lah. Keke...

The tickets for the waterpark is RM21 for adult, RM16 for children aged 12 and below, RM0 for kids below 90cm, and RM7 for senior citizens aged 55 and above. After bought tickets, we went to rent floats and lockers before we head to the pools.

The first pool we went is the Monsoon Lagoon Wave Pool. Nothing much special with the pool, except that the water there is so salty, even more salty than the real sea water!! Ptui ptui... We ter-taste the water when we were there playing, and the salty-ness of the water really sent shivers to our nerves.

The next pool we went is the Giant Bubble Pool. The center of this pool has a big half ball shape thingy, and it allows you to climb up to the top with the aid of ropes around, quite fun actually, especialy when you are climbing to the ball top on the slippery surface. Keke...

The Giant Bubble Pool.

Later, we went to play at the slide pools. Those pools were not that exciting until we went to this Boomerang.

The Boomerang.

Caution to those who are afraid of heights and has heart disease: DO NOT PLAY THIS BOOMERANG. Meowy and her cousin went up there to play first, and it seems that it was not that thrilling. Then I decided to go for a try after Meowy told me that it was kinda fun. As I reached the top of the station, my legs started to become abit shaky. When I sat on the specially designed float, I was trying to examine how high and steep the Boomerang is. Before I managed to imagine the height, OMG -- the lifeguard already push me off from the station. The moment I slide down from the steep, steep slide, my mind was blank, and I could only yell as the adrenaline rush to my whole body! Heck, it was such a fun! Keke...

Then, we proceed to the activity pool. There, Meowy's dad taught us how to swim (Paiseh ha, we dunno how to swim 1... Keke... ). After learning for some time, we finally managed to swim! Huhuhu... Such a nice feeling when we finally know how to swim... Keke...

At around 3.30pm, we decided to leave as everyone is getting tired already. Nevertheless, it was such a fun outing, with our skin burnt as a result of prolonged exposure to sun. Body ache as well, but worth it! Hehe...

Definitely will go there again. Our next to-go destination: The Orang Utan island. Will pay there a visit when we have time!

Sight-seeing @ Ipoh : Part 2

This is the continuation from the part1 here. After we left the Nam Thean Tong, we searched for a good few minutes to the routes to our next destination.

3rd and final stop : Kek Look (Lok) Tong

This cave located at the inner side of the housing area. You need to pass tru the housing area in order to go there. Therefore, for us, who dont have any map with us, its kinda hard to find but we manage to get ourselves there.

Its very cold , windy and calm in that cave. I think its because the cave is very big and with beutiful scenery too. We made a short stop at the temple cause was raining heavily at that time as you can see from the pic posted above and below.

The road to the cave.

Inside the cave. Some random shots of the cave.

A big hole in the middle of the cave.

I did mentioned bout the scenery right? Its really beautiful. Woofy tried to capture the scenery with rain pouring down but guess the camera too lousy. Geez...

Background scenery that looked like Genting. Misty misty...

Shooting up hoping to get some image of the raindrops. =(

Anyway, we left after a few minutes as the rain was getting heavier. Was soaking wet when we got into the car. What a trip!! After that, we went to *feed* our tummy as was hungry at that time. That is when we went to have our "chicky chicky" meal. Hee hee...=)

But the rain never subside as it rained all the way back to Penang. What a weather....Hrmph..Bad day to go on a trip...

Rain rain and rain....

Sight-seeing @ Ipoh : Part 1

As mentioned here before, Woofy took us (my mama, cousin and me) to Ipoh for some sight-seeing and praying few weeks ago.

Along the way to Ipoh, the weather was not that good as the sky blackblack and show some sign of raining soon.

Clouds forming and black black

Wah seh....so black laa....like evening time..

Our guess were correct. It rained so heavily that its so hard to see the road.

Wah....rain heavy oh...kenot see the road...

We pray and pray that it will stop raining as we dont want the rain to ruin our trip. But our answer was answered half only cuz it was drizzling as we reached Ipoh. Haih..-.-

Reached Ipoh`s street. Still drizzling.

As we dont have map with us , we searched and searched for the destination that we wanted to go. After searching and looking for road sign for few minutes, we finally found our way and we reached to our 1st destination safe and sound. Hee hee.

1st stop : Ling Shen Tong

There`s lotsa statues deities in this temple that located throughout the front yard. There`s also some cutie animals for children to hop on but due to the raining weather, couldnt take pix.

After spending sometime at the temple, we quickly run back to the car as it started to rain again. Then we proceed to the next stop.

2nd stop : Nam Thean Tong

At this temple, there`s not much statues deities around. Went for some informal praying then we walked around to see see. But what we saw are not those deities but lotsa ah pek around. They are yelling and shouting and scolding. We`re so curious bout what they are doing and quite suprised to know the answer.

Apparently, that Sunday was a horsing day or racing day. They were gambling at that very temple. Can they do that? I dunno. Hee Hee...but thats life. They`re just having fun with their friends. =)

After that, we proceed to the next temple. Shall continue next time....(^o^)

Salted Chicken

Woofy took me , my mama and my cousin to Ipoh last weekend. It was an impromtu decision as it was made the moment I wake up.

We went there for some sight-seeing but the weather was very very bad as it rained all the way from Penang to Ipoh.

Went to the caves for some praying then for makan as well. How can missed out the makan opportunity right? Hee hee.

This time, instead of here, we went to the opposite shop called the Ong Kee Restaurant. Forget to take pix cuz very hungry already.

In the middle of makan, my mama went to the opposite shop to buy the salted chicken. Price RM10 per chicken. Theres alot of variety there. Buy others next time. =)
Tasted not bad but kinda too salty for me d.

Took this pix in d middle of eating. Hee hee. Thats why half chicken gone. =P

Bidor

On our way back to Penang from our KL trip, Woofy decided to take the old route instead of the North-South Highway.

From KL, we stop by at Bidor, Perak. Its a kinda small town to me. But according to Woofy, Bidor is famous with their biscuits. Therefore, Woofy took me to this place called Pun Chun Chicken Biscuits and Restaurant Sdn. Bhd. where its famous with their Chicken Biscuits a.k.a kai chai pheng.

We bought a packet of Ham Cit Soo Biscuit (so weird 1 d name) , Heong Peah (fragrant biscuits?), kaya kok (triangular shape of biscuit with kaya paste inside) and also lou poh pheng (wify biscuit- only wife can eat...) keke...

Anyway, there are the few pictures that i took....

This is the shop.
